Shrimp Scampi Recipe
Seafood Seasoned with Parsley, Dill and Garlic Butter
This recipe tastes great served on top of your favorite type of pasta or noodle. Add a salad and garlic bread to this dish for a complete meal. Most grocery and health food stores in your area should have a good selection of fresh shrimp to choose from in their seafood departments.
Shrimp Scampi Recipe
Ingredients:
* 1 stick butter (½ cup)
* 2 tablespoons olive oil
* 2 red bell peppers - seeded and chopped
* 1/3 cup green onion - sliced
* 1 pound raw shrimp - peeled and de-veined
* 4 cloves garlic - peeled and minced
* 1 tablespoon lemon juice
* 1 teaspoon garlic powder
* ½ teaspoon garlic salt
* ½ teaspoon white pepper
* ¼ cup fresh parsley - chopped
* 1 tablespoon fresh dill
Directions:
1. Add the butter and olive oil to a large sauté pan.
2. Place the pan on the stove and turn the heat to medium.
3. Add the bell pepper and green onion and cook for 4 minutes.
4. Add the garlic and lemon juice and cook for one more minute.
5. Stir in the shrimp and cook until the shrimp has turned pink and is thoroughly cooked.
6. Stir in the garlic powder, garlic salt and white pepper.
7. Remove the pan from the heat and stir in the parsley and dill.
8. Serve immediately on top of pasta, rice or mashed potatoes.
